This Supernatural Story
Soderbergh pushes his film-making abilities through this clever supernatural story filmed completely through the eyes of a ghost. As a family with Lucy Liu as Rebekah and troubled teenage daughter Chloe occupies their fresh home, the lens – as the unseen entity – shadows their actions. Chloe seems conscious of the poltergeist, and the entity appears protective of her. Yet what is the reason? This is an entertaining concept that remains concise, featuring a surprise you might not see coming. Saturday 11 October, multiple showings, Sky Cinema Premiere
The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent
Nicolas Cage wholeheartedly adopts his eccentric image in this self-referential adventure. He plays an egotistical film star named Nicolas Cage who takes on a lucrative offer to appear at a celebration in Mallorca for the wealthy Javi Gutierrez. Hired by government spies to gather intel on the alleged criminal, the actor's unique performing skills proves useful. October 11th, prime time, the Channel 4 network
The Black Phone Horror
The director's claustrophobic thriller stands strong even without a continuation. Located in 1970s Colorado, a series of kidnappings has left the local kids on edge. When Finney is taken by the kidnapper and held captive in a dungeon, he fears a terrible outcome. However, the non-functional line in the room continues to ring, with eerie communicators providing assistance, as the prescient dreams of his sister Gwen could save him. An effective horror. This Saturday, late evening, on Film4
This Dramatic Portrait
In the conflict between God and Mammon, the winner is obvious for greed in Showalter's brilliantly over-the-top film adaptation about the fallen TV preacher and her felon spouse. Garfield acts as the venal Jim, who states initially, “God does not want us to be poor,”. Both individuals begin capitalizing on the nation's spiritual convictions. It's a riot of bad interior design, bad makeup and bad faith, yet Jessica Chastain manages to depict Tammy Faye with compassion. Next Tuesday, 1.15am, on Film4

He receives a mission to identify a mole within their ranks out of five possibilities – one of whom is his own wife. Each performer are masters of deadpan cool, so a delicious mind game of fact versus fiction unfolds. Tom Burke, Regé-Jean Page, Naomie Harris and Marisa Abela take part the intelligent intelligence fun. This Friday, various showings, Sky Cinema
